Selva lies just to the south of the mountains, on the road to Lluc pass.
The villa is set in its own grounds just south of the town (it’s a 3/4 mile walk into town, measured to the first bar!). There are six twin bedrooms: so the villa sleeps 12, but there is also a common room through which a bedroom is reached with three extra beds, so 15 can fit in this villa at a pinch. There are 5 bathrooms, and a jacuzzi. There’s a secure (ride-in) basement under the whole house for bicycles to live. The views from the villa are stunning towards the mountains (the picture here was taken through the round window in the hall, looking past Selva church to the peak of Massanella).
Selva is the gateway to one of the best climbs in Mallorca: the Coll de sa Batala (aka the Lluc climb). Being on the south side of the mountains there’s easy access to the flat routes in the centre of the island. The roads west (to Mancor di Val) and east (to Campanet) are two of the nicest roads on the island, traversing through the almond and olive groves with the mountains on one side of you and glimpses south to the whole island on the other.
Heading further west past Mancor leads on a beautiful newly-surfaced road through Binimar, then on to base of The Orient Loop.
